The Building and Construction Authority has issued a circular in conjunction with the Planning Authority (PA) and the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) in relation to the Construction Management Site Regulations S.L. 623.08.

The Construction Management Site Regulations were published in the Government Gazette of Friday 16th December, 2022. This Legal Notice among other things assigns to the Building and Construction Authority, BCA, the responsibility regarding the management of construction sites. It introduces new regulations regarding the protection of third parties with regard to projects that are being made, and initiates a new standard regarding the dimensions of apertures of new residential dwellings.

Due to satisfactory response in the applications for the dwelling assessor’s course, the Building and Construction Authority is extending its deadline until the end of December 2022.

The Ministry for Public Works and Planning, through the Building and Construction Authority, has launched a public consultation process in relation to the Standardisation of Apertures of Residential Buildings in Malta.
