Reform in the licensing of masons with new regulations and the setting up of a new committee.

Minister for Justice and Reform of the Construction Sector, Jonathan Attard launched a new helpline that serves as a 24/7 reference point for all matters related to the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).

The Building and Construction Authority wishes to inform that starting from August 1st, 2024, all final completion certificates submitted by the Perit in Charge must be accompanied by photographic evidence demonstrating that all structural works are finished and the building is sealed against water ingress.

Demolition and excavation works will be prohibited from selected tourist areas between 15 June and 30 September 2024.
