Minister Attard announces agreement uniting key construction partners to implement National Building and Construction Codes, prioritizing safety, structure, and fire prevention.

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) have signed an agreement through which they will continue to give more security to third parties, workers, and the public.

Applications to apply for new or renew the Masons’ Licence available on Monday 17th February 2025.

During last year, 2024, the Building and Construction Authority Enforcement Officers conducted 12,759 inspections on construction sites. An increase of around 2,000 inspections from the previous year. A number of these inspections were random inspections, while the remaining were inspections against a report from the public.

Christmas Shutdown Notice

The following information provides the required documentation for the various construction activities for both an individual and entity applying for a License of Contractors.

On Tuesday 22nd October, compulsory sessions started for all applicants who submitted all the necessary documentation so that they can sit for the Masons’ license examination.

On Tuesday, October 15, the first informative meetings for new applicants seeking a mason’s license took place.

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) together with the Masons Licensing Committee, would not be accepting new applications for the Masons License, until the examinations of the current applicants. New applications will be accepted again after the 21st of November 2024.
